Summer Collection “IMMERSION” by JOHANNA RIPLINGER – See the collectionLookbook

The new summer collection “IMMERSION“ is inspired by the image of flower petals sprightly slipping into water to transfer their colors onto fabrics. This is a symbol of the innovative process by which the fabrics used in the collection are dyed using sustainable floral and vegetable colors that do not damage the quality of the water used.

The fashion show on 4 July in the Kosmos Theater in conjunction with the SHOWFLOOR BERLIN and in the context of BERLIN FASHION WEEK, presented the label’s new summer collection 2014.  Airy, flowing silhouettes with butterfly and blossom designs set the tone. Soft skin-colors harmonize with mint and Bordeaux to create an elegant, self-confident feminine image. Light fabrics of highest quality silk and organic cotton pair up with the bold red tones of fancy details worked into belts and applications.

Accessories from ROYAL BLUSH by Jana Keller from Switzerland and stylish sunglasses from SHAUNS SHADES in California complete the look to give an air of fresh, summery self-confidence.

Sponsoring partner of JOHANNA RIPLINGER for the show was the organization TARA, which is dedicated to supporting women’s groups, empowering skilled artisans and technological advancement initiatives in India. The show provided them with an opportunity to present the co-branded GOODIE BAGS and PAPER NOTE-BOOKS made of hand-crafted vat paper produced from recycled fibers and decorated with prints from the new collection.

The impressive music composed specially for the fashion show by Cyril Broque and interpreted by the Parisian singer Alexiane Broque did much to make the show a strong emotionally charged experience.

For the first time, the JOHANNA RIPLINGER collection was presented at the GREEN SHOWROOM salon showing in the Adlon–Kempinski Hotel and was also presented at the PREVIEW SHOW by the international fashion magazine GRAZIA at the MERCEDES-BENZ FASHION WEEK.
