The winter collection by JOHANNA RIPLINGER suggests a poetic composition of light pastels, frost lavender, pale yellow and snow white contrasting with smoky grey tones, anthracite shades to invite a very bright light winter mood.  Prints and elaborate hand embroidery are marked by folded square patterns reminiscent of the origami folding techniques so highly esteemed by the designer.

New materials such as luxurious heavy Silk-crepe, Italian organic Wool, Japanese Mohair and finest Cashmere complete the collection with a new knitted line as well as with a new line of round cut winter coats in wool and silk.

The natural dyes are produced from rescued valuable materials, among them, the petals of flowers originally offered as floral offerings in Indian temples. The prints, in limited series, are produced according to the designer’s own drafts by gifted Indian artisans using traditional handicraft techniques.

For the first time, the fashion fair GREEN SHOWROOM took place in the prestigious Kronprinzenpalais, Unter den Linden in Berlin with a fashion show reserved for a professional audience of press and international buyers.
